Dreaming of Reality

That night I woke up, feeling like in a dream. But it was the worst nightmare I had ever been in. I swear I had never felt such a deep loneliness before. But I was trapped in my inner night, and I couldn’t wake up.
My computer was on. I had left my chat windows open, and I could see from my bed that he was online. Some minutes, or maybe hours ago (I didn’t know for sure what time it was), he had told me the name of his favorite song. I could have guessed it, anyway. “Like in a swirl, our kisses are mixed with our absences”, said the lyrics. “Pretty descriptive of our relationship”, I thought. Just that in our case, the absences were by far, more than the kisses.
I was frozen, sitting on my bed, thinking what I should do. Before I fell asleep, seeing him online was the only thing that I wanted in the world. Deep inside I knew how many times I had begged to have the chance to talk to him. However, when my wish had finally come true, all I wanted was to disappear.
I hesitated for a minute, and when I looked again, he was still there. He hadn’t talked to me. Not yet. I didn’t know if he would do it, anyway. Somewhere in my heart I had the hope that he would.
I thought that maybe sending him the song lyrics would be a good start for the conversation, but the next second I became so scared about the idea that he may find out how much I loved him, that I signed out. All the time I tried too hard to hide it, and maybe it was pointless, because he probably knew.
Even if we had wanted it, nothing could have happened at that time. Neither of us was ready for it. If we had been ready, he would have talked to me while I kept staring at his name on the screen. I could see my reflection there. Was it really a screen?
Then, the thought of the future without him blinded me, and when my eyes opened again, they were facing his name on the mirror, written with my red Chanel lipstick.

Meg

Part of a novel I'm writing about the life of a queen in Ancient Rome. It is called Meg. Hope you like it.

It was a quiet morning in Rome. Meg woke up naked, lying on her husband’s chest. She felt such a wonderful sensation being like that, that it made her days. She felt, as I if it had been the first time, how soft and firm the king’s skin was; and she smiled, thinking how lucky she was.
Nicholas woke up. His eyes found the queen: a beautiful sight. Her black sapphire hair immersed him in Heaven as, without saying a word (because they didn’t need to), they kissed, and so between the soft morning sunshine they searched for, and loved each other.
They didn’t want to cross the bridge that kept their dream world away from reality, ruled by Pluto. However, they had to do it.
Nicholas was the first to wake up. Meg sat on the bed, watching her husband for a while. Then she stood up and got dressed. After some minutes, Nicholas approached her, put his arms around her waist and kissed her neck. Meg closed her eyes. She felt that playful tickle her husband’s lips were making. Then she turned around and kissed the king with passionate delicacy. Their eyes shone as they met.
- I haven’t said how much I love you today. – said the king.
Meg smiled. Her look was the one full of fire that captivated her beloved.
-It’s true, your vocal chords haven’t hit those notes; but your eyes are telling mine, your lips have whispered it softly and your hands have drawn it in every corner of my skin as well.
Then they kissed again, in the Roman passionate way, and left the room together, to give a brave welcome to the daily rush of the outside world.

The House Of Asterion

Mortally wounded, Asterion wonders...

You've finally come to me, oh, glorious redeemer! With your relentless sword, you have put an ending to my pain. But... who are you? I would like to see your face.
Redeemer? Where are you, my savior? Answer, please! Do not abandon me at this time. Let me see your face! All I can see is a soft crack of sunlight coming from somewhere, but I can't exactly say where it comes from, as my house is so big.
Can that be you, Aphollo? Oh! Is that you? The one who, as me, is not repited in this world in which everything appears fourteen times? Is that you, oh big, powerful flame, the one who has saved me from this house of infinity? Thank you! Thank you for putting an end to my life!, even though this one, as any other ending, is just a new beggining. And maybe everyting will start over again, many times. Fourteen times...

A Man In Love

Have you ever seen that sad look in the eyes of a man? The one which says that there is something he is eager for, but can’t reach?
That message written in his eyes that says that his wish has a name, and it is the name of a woman it has? And from deep inside his soul, he is screaming he is searching for love?
Are they too ambitious? Or do they just ask for what they deserve, but cannot get?
This look melts souls. And not even music, nor poetry can get them rid of their sad loneliness.
